They hope this is the start of the bull leg within trading range. Traders would see if the bulls could create a pullback breaking far above the bear trend line or if the market would continue to trade sideways to down below it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The bulls got a strong pullback candlestick trading far above the bear trend line and back into the trading range.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They see the recent move down as a sell vacuum and a bear leg within a trading range.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They want a reversal from a large double bottom bull flag (Oct 3 and Jan 13), a wedge pattern (Oct 23, Nov 22, and Jan 13) and a micro wedge (Dec 2, Dec 10, and Dec 13).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They want a failed breakout followed by a retest of the middle of the trading range.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They hope this is the start of the bull leg within trading range.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the market trades lower, they see it as a retest of the prior trend&#8217;s extreme low and want a higher low major trend reversal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The next targets for the bulls are the 20-week EMA and the December 6 high.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The bears got a strong move down in the form of a wedge pattern (Oct 23, Nov 22, and Jan 13).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They see the current move as a pullback and want the 20-week EMA to act as resistance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They want a double top bear flag with the December 6 high.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They want a retest of the January 13 low followed by a strong breakout and a measured move based on the height of the trading range.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At the very least, they hope to get a small retest of the prior low (Jan 13).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Since this week is a big bull bar closing near its high, it is a buy signal bar for next week.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Because the big bull bar covered many pips and broke above the highs of many prior candlesticks, traders are wondering if the market is in the early stage of turning into Always In Long.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For now, odds slightly favor the market to trade at least a little higher (probably testing near or above the 20-week EMA).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Traders will see if the bulls can create a follow-through bull bar or if the market will trade slightly higher but close with a long tail or a bear body instead.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the bulls can create sustained follow-through buying trading above the 20-week EMA for a couple of weeks, the odds will swing in favor of the bull leg beginning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Most breakouts from trading ranges fail and odds favor the trading range to continue.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The <em>Daily<\/em> EURUSD chart<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brookstradingcourse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/EURUSD-Daily-Bulls-Want-Start-of-Bull-Leg-Bear-See-PB.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"680\" height=\"383\" src=\"https:\/\/www.brookstradingcourse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/EURUSD-Daily-Bulls-Want-Start-of-Bull-Leg-Bear-See-PB-680x383.jpg\" alt=\"EURUSD Daily - Bulls Want Start of Bull Leg, Bear See PB\" class=\"wp-image-228605\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.brookstradingcourse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/EURUSD-Daily-Bulls-Want-Start-of-Bull-Leg-Bear-See-PB-680x383.jpg 680w, https:\/\/www.brookstradingcourse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/EURUSD-Daily-Bulls-Want-Start-of-Bull-Leg-Bear-See-PB-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.brookstradingcourse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/EURUSD-Daily-Bulls-Want-Start-of-Bull-Leg-Bear-See-PB-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.brookstradingcourse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/EURUSD-Daily-Bulls-Want-Start-of-Bull-Leg-Bear-See-PB-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.brookstradingcourse.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/EURUSD-Daily-Bulls-Want-Start-of-Bull-Leg-Bear-See-PB.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The EURUSD traded higher on Monday, followed by a sideway pullback. Friday formed a second leg higher, closing as a bull bar with a prominent tail above.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brookstradingcourse.com\/analysis\/eurusd-bulls-need-to-do-more\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Last week<\/a>, we said the wedge pattern and the embedded wedge increase the odds of a minor pullback within a few weeks.
