Brooks Trading Course members opening and funding a new TradeStation account can get up to $5,000 cash back when you transfer funds into your account.
The way it works is simple – the more funds you transfer into your account, the more cash we’ll deposit on top of it. The bigger the transfer, the bigger your reward. Additional terms apply.
See offer information on the Members Area menu page.
No matter which markets you trade – stocks, options or futures – TradeStation gives you the cutting-edge trading tools, education, and support you need.
Updated October 1, 2025 (new offer – replaces rebate scheme).

Hi,
Maybe I misunderstood the paragraph:
“In addition, you can get a 200% rebate on cost of joining Al’s Trading Room for one year — worth $2,376 — but note room is managed on Al’s BrooksPriceAction.com website, not here. Together with your course purchase, a total commissions rebate of $2,874 is possible!”.
Is there an offer, for the course buyers, to join for free Al’s Trading Room for one year?
If not, could you clarify?
Hi Gabriel,
This is a REBATE system so you have to spend the money first and claim back from TradeStation who will give you a 20% lower commissions until rebate used up. That means a lot of trading to get the maximum benefit. So no, you cannot join room for free as you wrote, sorry. ; )
Hi,
Ok, now it is clear… thank you for your explanation!
I would like to paper trade before opening account. which one is free and user friendly? if there is nothing free with out opening an account, i would be willing to pay monthly. for a nice user friendly simulator. thanks rob
Hi Roberto,
A good choice is Ninjatrader which offers a free simulator using market replay data. And free End of Day data. To trade with live data would need paying for data of course, and that is best got through a broker account. Be sure you are happy with Ninja’s restrictive choice of brokers if going live with them though. Here’s the Ninja link:
https://ninjatrader.com/Simulate
If you want a low cost broker, you can check out AMP Futures who have a variety of free and paid platforms to choose from. (Note new NinjaTrader users cannot use AMP.) I would recommend Multicharts, or Sierra Charts.
If you want to trade stocks, as well as futures, you would have to open an account with Interactive Brokers, or similar. But the free/cheap IB data is only good for time charts. IB also have a good simulator.
Others may have comments/experience. Or do an Internet search.
If you want to paper trade free on live data, ThinkorSwim using TDAmeritrade is a way to go. If you can deposit $2K or so, you can get live data. You can still get 20 min delayed data for lower amounts.
There is no maintenance or monthly fee.
I wouldn’t recommend it for real trading though due to ridiculously high commissions.
Hi Richard,
How’s the new contact guy at TS? Earlier there was Bill Lillwitz, but now he’s gone.
Hi Anton,
The new guy is Paul Gaynor. No changes for rebate offer and have updated the Members area rebate post.

Thanks.
Hi Richard,
Paul at TS isn’t answering anymore. Is he gone as well and there is a new guy?
Best,
Anton
Hi Anton,
Yes, there is a new guy, but he told me to continue using Paul’s contact! But maybe that is history given the competitive trading world!!
Will follow up and get back to you soon.
