I finished the video course this month - It has been quite an experience. The course was masters class level in terms of quality of content/material and instruction. The course is an incredible value.

The high level of professionalism of the support and community was extremely refreshing and appreciated. The additional tools and options – like the trade room, encyclopedia, forums, daily set ups, etc. were all very complimentary to the course and are actively helping to evolve my understanding and experience.

I feel fortunate that this was the first trading course I have tried. I did not have to waste a lot of time/money going in the wrong direction. I do have a professional background in the Financial Technology industry but not specific to trading. 1) If you are a beginner - Al does a perfect job of answering questions and giving instruction without being discouraging at all. He is consistent and patient. Trading is difficult and he knows it. He is extremely empathetic to what beginners through.

2) The level of professionalism of the community, the administrator, Richard and our teacher, Al, is top notch. Al assumes you are a beginner and takes you through everything with extreme thoughtfulness and care.

3) If you miss something in the trading room, it is recorded, so it is easy to go back and catch up.

4) Al is consistently telling us what is wrong with certain trades or set ups. He teaches you to be very, very selective about the trades you take. I often find myself about to do something and he will say just before...."now...do you really want to be buying at the top of...." It is like he knows what you are thinking when you are learning, and a lot of times helps you think further through it. A lot of times in the course, I would find myself asking a question and then moments later, Al answers the question.

5) All of the material and information shared in the room, blogs, course, etc. is very consistent and repetitive. Even though the material is detailed and heavy, you have multiple opportunities to absorb and reinforce the learning. The repetition helps you work through the complexity of things over time.

6.) There is support from peers and administration in the forums available and everyone is just there to learn, share or teach and has been incredibly helpful...

7) It is very exciting when you begin to see the math in trades, know where a measured move target is or know where a magnet is that the market is racing too, This course teaches you to understand the market through price action.

8) For me, the trading and price action concepts are easier to grasp.... Trade management and having patience is difficult. That takes a lot of time and practice in a live environment. Follow Al's advice and trade the micro emini and prove you can make $50 a day on 1 contract for a defined period and then slowly increase your risk exposure.

9) The bar by bar analysis provided is extremely helpful You can go back and review and learn with the analysis he provides.

10) This course gives you the ability to be self-reliant. But it is not fast or easy.

It is rare to find a person that is willing to teach something so valuable to others. Al's only reward in all of this appears to be the satisfaction of a job well done and gifting others opportunity in life. I think that is a beautiful legacy to share and I hope I can do the same someday.

I've just watched my first 10 videos and I'm flabbergasted at the quality of your teaching(s). I've already found two trade setups (entry & exit) that I used to think were good trades and after you explain context and price action it's makes perfect sense why I was a classic beginner and loser.

It's clear that in the videos I'm listening to the voice of a professional trader (over 30 years I believe) who is providing the real-world training required to become successful. I can't thank you enough.

I've spent thousands of dollars on various teachings that I see now are horribly incomplete and nonsensical. I noticed that these other "training programs" are woefully inadequate and confuse beginners with unnecessary minutia, all while they contradict themselves and constantly throw silly material-gain-fantasy-life-baloney at us. Don't get me wrong, I think all these "trainings" likely have SOME value, but they're FAR from the quality you are providing.

I would highly suggest to all traders they drop all the other gurus, tipsters, apps, indicators, stock picks etc., and purchase your well thought out and THOROUGH training materials. The reason I invested in your training Al, is because I saw you on a YouTube video where you were interviewed by a nice young man with a French accent. I was thrilled when you started to speak -- your humble demeanor and sincere face expressions made me feel I was finally listening to someone who is honest.

The fact you grew up at first in Canada helped too. Honestly, my father is very much like you in a humble and understated tone of voice and body language -- even in clothing choices. My father is also a brilliant man that comes across so humble that people in his presence are never fully aware of the mental giant in their midst. Interestingly enough, he too has always been a great teacher and enjoys helping people achieve excellence in aviation.

Thank you so much Al -- you worked REALLY hard to provide the best trading course on the planet and you didn't NEED to for profit. You did it because you want to share your experience. Very rare for a professional trader!!! I want you to know that I realize just because I have the BEST trading course in the world right now doesn't mean I'll succeed -- I have to finish all the work and review it multiple times, AND I have to develop a professional trader's mindset -- learn to monitor emotion and trade my way. (comfortable).

I like daily charts where I can see resistance and support over a longer period of time and I'm not experienced enough to scalp or day trade (I've tried it and I found it exhausting). My account is $2000 and I never take positions more than $300 -- until I am extremely consistent it will stay that way.

There is no other course on this planet comparable to Al Brooks. It is so amazing. I would only suggest to add feature to cast it on TV so that my entire family can enjoy it.

Once one starts watching course, automatically brain starts to wire with concepts. You just need little bit of patience to get hang of it, after that it is just move. I think it is wrong question, because you can not compare this course with any other.....It is incredible.

First thing when I got into trading world it was so confusing. There are millions of ways to trade but most forums suggested price action is king. Since I work full time, I joined one Forex course which was only talking about pin bars/hammers etc as price action. Then I found Al Brooks, god of price action, and things really started making sense.

I am software engineer, for my brain to trust anything I need logic, why things happen the way and what is next. Al has explained all minute details... Just go through all videos - practice a lot and compare your chart with Al's slides. (Key to success) - While taking any trade look for risk reward and position sizing - always keep in mind there will always be next setup.

Profound. This course is just massive and comprehensive. Brooks video course encompasses everything a complete beginner needs to know to become a competent professional. Absolutely NO BS trading material.

By far and away the best material I have ever come across on trading. I spent many years and countless dollars looking for the "real thing." Even EXTREMELY famous traders in the trading world. This is the ONLY course I ever needed and I'll ever need again.

After reading about 200 books on trading on everything from options to system design to portfolio management I came across Dr. Brooks first book in 2010. Then I bought the three volume set, and finally the video course. It changed my trading.
Some of the topics aspiring professional traders must learn are:
- Market structure
- Trading systems
- Risk management
- Position sizing
- Chart analysis
- Portfolio management
- Biography of other traders
- Trading psychology
- Statistical analysis
- Inter-market analysis
If you just read the 3 top books on the above topics, you're looking at about 30 books or around 9000 pages. It is at least a four-year project. If this is too much work and you're now looking for a short cut, the single best thing to learn is price action analysis. I believe Al's course is the most efficient way to learn it, because I have taken most of the good courses in the US over the years and have also worked with mentors who are professional traders, spending close to $70K on my education!
The value of this body of work might not be readily evident but I can tell you based on my own studies that it is simply unbeatable. It teaches you how to think about price action in a functional manner and how to trade professionally using simple rules that connect together in a systematic way. It will free you from everything: news, gurus, web sites, signal generator software, trading apps, indicators, etc. Which means you will have a great advantage over other traders who are dependent on them.
There is an incredible amount of information in the entire package. I have already spent probably more than 2000 hours studying price action but still find little things in the course that I didn't noticed in previous passes (I have already read Al's books at least 4 times and watched the videos many more times).
Understanding price action is powerful knowledge but it also needs lots of practice to become an effective skill. Once it becomes a skill, your trading can easily substitute a salary even if you trade a small position size. It gave me the confidence to move from a lucrative IT consulting career to full time trading this year. It was neither easy nor quick, but it is worth it.
You don't need any other material beyond what you will find in the videos and books to train yourself. The magic formula is the information plus passion and many hours of your time.
If you are new to it, the best place to start is the Guidelines on the back of "Trading Price Action Reversals" book and then read the Introduction. With videos, simply start at module number one. I strongly encourage you to read the books, too. They will give you depth of knowledge through in-depth study of many more examples, which you will need when you start trading.

My name is Richard Vicente. I am 49 years old and I am a board certified nuclear medicine technologist with a BS degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology. I also have 2 master degrees: MHA….Master of Health Administration and a Master degree in Accounting. I am eligible to sit for the CPA exam in the state of Florida. And I am also currently finishing a MBA degree.
The reason I am bringing up my education is its relevance to trading. I have studied more books on trading, statistics, physics and management then one person can imagine. I have also been trying to trade FX, options, futures and stocks for more than 12 years. I have lost a large amount of money trying to trade. I took 5 to 6 years off after major losses in 2008. I have also bought and studied every book there is on candle stick patterns and other indicators. All the education and books are good for building knowledge, but they are useless unless you understand how price action works. I have learned this from the course, which has only been about 1 month.
So, the reason I took the time to write this testimony is my appreciation for Dr. Brook’s experience and his teaching ability. I started back trading 3 months ago (futures…..NQ, YM and ES contracts) with the same frustration and disappointment thinking the market is setting me up to take my money. Then about 1 month ago, before almost calling it quits, I purchased Dr. Brook’s trading course.
I have not completed the course yet… I am at about 85% of the way through the course. But the important thing is I am spotting price action entries and patterns that I never knew existed and I am having more success now than ever before. I have more confidence when entering the market.
For example, I have lost a large amount of money trying to enter Eminis’ with 3 contracts. One of the techniques you will learn in the course, which I have been trying to figure out for years, is how to scale into a position after entering. One problem I imagine traders have is entering with more than 1 contract- only to find the market moves against them and exit because the move against them is large. Then the market springs back in their original direction after exiting. This is how I lost thousands in the last 3 months! This one technique, scaling in, alone is worth purchasing the course!
All I can say and suggest is to purchase Al Brook’s trading course. The course will give you an advantage you never thought was possible. I believe the cost of the course will help stop the losses and set you on the path to be profitable.

I started studying trading about 4 years ago, but never really got anywhere until I discovered BrooksPA (the study of price action, bar by bar, as it has become known). I am now employed by a proprietary trading firm and trade the Emini futures for a living.

I believe, exactly as Al does, that technicals control the markets. Indeed knowledge of price action analysis and trade management is all that is needed to profitably trade any major market on any time frame. Studying Al's work will give you those skills if you follow his advise closely and persevere.

I cannot recommend this video course enough. I have watched these videos many times over and they literally changed my life!

I have spent 5,000 hours or 2.5 years with obsessively studying trading. My demo trades were excellent. But, when I switched to live trades in Dec. 2018, after 21 trades only, my ROI went down to -4.2%. I lost 6% of my $1000 account, trading micro lots.

Unbelievable Value—
I purchased the course in Feb 2015 after about three years of searching for guidance on learning to trade the markets. I could already tell from the sample videos that Al's approach was much different that most guides I had encountered. After purchasing the course I could see why—he explains why the market moves the way it does (for any chart he is describing in the presentation). He does this in much more detail that I had seen anywhere else. Knowing the 'Why' really helped me grow as a trader. These are things a beginner would never think about (e.g. Bulls who bought at the top of a leg scaled in lower, selling their whole position when the market returned to their entry price creating a double top resistance point).
The course is a crash course (everything you need to know starting out) in becoming a professional trader. I would venture there is more distilled trading knowledge & wisdom in his course than most prop firm traders receive in their initial training. The rest of your trading education can only be completed through market experience. With a price tag of $250 [original course] (unbelievably undervalued!) you have everything you need to get started with a big leg up on all other retail traders.
I have also started subscribing to Al's webinar. This is also extremely reasonable for the value. You get to trade the ES with commentary from a master trader. Today was my first day and Al kept me off my worst habits—Counter trend trading. I can't thank Al enough for the immense amount of help & value I have received from his materials/him.

I have been learning Forex trading for 8 years. I know I wanted to learn price action trading, so I studied candle patterns, chart patterns, support and resistance etc. However I was still not profitable because I was missing the pieces that bind everything together.

While I have heard of some online guru who has 5 years trading experience and already making very good profit. Some of my friends only have two years experience, already posting many blogs on Facebook to give trading signals. So I thought maybe I am not cut out to be trader since I am very risk averse person.

Not until I heard of Al Brooks' price action. First I bought his books, found it really hard to digest. So I put aside for two to three years. Somehow I heard about him again, I gave another shot reading the books, funny thing is it seems I understand more now.

Since I am visual person, I decided to invest in his course. Only 349 USD, so much cheaper than outside courses. I also have read the introduction on the book, Al Brooks openly mentioned it took him 10 years to be consistently profitable and the journey he went through--I guess many parts of the struggles are very familiar with my own experience except I am nowhere near as clever as him. That statement struck me that Al Brooks is a very honest person because taking 10 years to be consistent profitable does not seem like a brag.

So I bought your course for $250... (original course) What a rip off!! I really feel like I ripped YOU off. How can you possibly only charge $250 for that?? It is obvious that you are teaching because you love teaching. I will probably make that money back on my first trade! I feel like you should be getting a percentage or something from me.
This course is not about showing me a few tricks of the trade. You are training me for a career. I can hardly sleep because I can't tear myself away from the videos. And I only eat soft foods because I am afraid that a crunchy bite might make me miss something.
I have been looking for clear cut training that is simplified in such a way to help me lock in profits without getting a headache from all the mumbo jumbo indicators and patterns. Thank you Al Brooks for taking your time to train me. My appreciation will go beyond what you can ever know.

Regarding the May 3, 2016 Webinar: I have some familiarity with Al's approach through his video course and some time on one of his books. I thought this webinar was outstanding, and since it represents a preview of his updated course, I look forward to going through the new course.

One suggestion that I would make to students of this video is to listen more than one time. In fact, when you have time, listen to 5 or 10 minute segments... and then look at one of your current charts and think through what you just listened to.

You will quadruple the learning experience, and you pick up of subtleties that you missed the first two or three times (and don't fret at what you initially missed... it is part of the process).

Good Day Al/Fellow Traders

Prior to buying this course, I burnt out a couple a small accounts ($1000-$2000) trying to copy indicators and 'systems' I had bought online. I stopped trading for 2 years.

Before coming across good words said about Al on Quora, I peddled with the idea of trying out some new systems, thinking that my prior failure was due to lack of proper risk management. Then I went to the online review sites...

"Where is his trading results if he has such a good 'system'?"
"Eccentric as they come."
"Boring."

So I thought, "This is different. He may be onto something." I went ahead and purchased this course. That was about three months ago.

I started the lessons from the beginning, taking notes and reviewing charts and trying to formulate rules for my own system whilst trading with a real $500 account.

Today, three months later with 34% of the first section of the course completed, for the first time in my life I can sit back and see that I may be getting somewhere. Risking Max 4% per trade (when I see a fat pitch) I have made enough to cover the cost of the course and then some!!!

And, you know what, I've been totally put off 'systems', thank you. I don't want Al or anyone else for that matter to show me their trades. That's a dead end route. "Teach a man to fish...."

Indicators are so passe. I no longer fear trading around news times. I love market open' traps.

This course is what I need to at least stay in the game long enough to become profitable. Discretionary price action fits my personality and beliefs about the reality of markets.
I think my main problem has been trade management among several others. I have some good ideas but I always seem to find a way to get out of my best trades too early by getting trapped out and also from time to time take a few emotional trades but I’m aware of my issues and I am diligently working through them by documenting mistakes in my trade journal and subsequent post analysis.
Everything you teach helps but the concepts about the trader’s equation, trade management (especially the concept of “actual risk”), and market context (not candlestick patterns) have changed my market reality:)
When one starts to understand the “why” or reason as to what happening on a chart and what it will likely lead to, gives you an edge. This makes it much easier to relax and trade with confidence knowing the math will work out. Thanks for passing along your wealth of experience.

Hi Al, I have just completed my first month’s webinar, after reading your 4 books (I have to say I more studied than read the books). Your approach is truly honest and genuine and its a breath of fresh air compared to the many many training courses I have been on to date.
I have been trying to make it as a trader now for the last 4 years and have spent many thousands of $$ and taken a hell of a lot of physiological head-ache and while I’m sorry I didn’t come across your work earlier, at least better late than never.

I finally enjoy trading and look forward to the challenge, rather than being anxious about it.

I started with your book, Trading Price Action Trends, a year or so ago, but couldn't quite grasp all the detail.

I bought the video course a few months ago, and that's when things clicked.

After one round of the course, I bought the other two books. Now, the books and the course complement and reinforce one other. The blogs and videos on the Brooks Trading Course site are now lucid (to me).

Here's a technique that seems to work well for me:

Re-watch the videos in the course, one by one. Note terms or topics you need help with, then refer to the books for clarification. Expand knowledge and recognition.
Watch videos on the Trading Course site. Note terms or topics you need help with, then refer to the books for clarification. Expand knowledge and recognition.
Trade patiently, using principles you fully understand, and always with appropriate management. Evaluate your trades based on whether you followed your rules appropriately, or not.
Do it again (and again).

Needless to say that there is a lifetime worth of reading in your books would be a huge understatement . I have to go back and reference things quite often, but the main theme of my note here is that your education has given me the "edge" I need to be a profitable trader.

Yesterday, March 21, we had a HUGE selloff. Something I had been positioning for, for the last couple weeks. I KNEW there would be selloff because you taught me how to recognize it coming way before the talking "IDIOTS" on TV even knew it was on their doorstep.

There is NOT ONE trading educator out there that called the selloff ....TO THE DAY like you did. I know you've been mentioning the likelihood of this event for a couple weeks, but your post yesterday in the Intra-day update was... To. The. Day. I don't think there is anyone out there that could have done that. HOWEVER, I was ready for it.

I had my best day trading day EVER yesterday because I saw what the charts were saying. I made 16K in less than 8 hours of trading. I had put on my largest positions the morning of the event because it looked and "felt" like the day.

I do a little more Swing trading than you do because I'm not able to sit in front of a computer all day because I am a sales rep for my profession. You probably would be been upset because I held a couple positions too long and didn't keep to your risk cardinal rules. BUT.. like I said, I knew it was coming and was confident.

I wanted to say thanks for the excellent information and education you provide. I am a believer and cant thank you enough for the education I will have for the rest of my trading career. Keep up the great work. You have a big fan and proponent out here in Portland, OR.
