Looking for a Mentor， trading Chinese A-shares

Hello everyone, my name is Zhang, and I’m from China. Despite having an account for 8 years, I’ve only made a few trades, buying two stocks I believed were worth holding long-term. I held them for 5 years, but as of August 2024, my “value investing” account still faced a 45% loss. Starting in September 2024, China’s A-share market entered a bull run, which I saw as a great opportunity to turn things around. I began actively learning the basics of trading, spending a lot of time and effort. At best, I managed to go from zero to getting started. I’m fully aware of my professional limitations. By chance, in May 2025, I started studying Al Brooks’ Price Action course. My English is very weak, so I relied on Chinese subtitles, learning slowly and painstakingly. Even so, I was like a sponge, immersed in the ocean of price action, eagerly absorbing knowledge. This drive came from my thirst for professional skills and the constant changes in my account balance. Perhaps due to favorable market conditions and some luck, I bet on the right thematic stocks. Starting in June, I mustered the courage to sell the two “value investment” stocks I’d held for 5 years and began buying Chinese thematic concept stocks, applying what I learned from price action. As of yesterday, I’ve achieved a cumulative return of 125% since January 2025, and I believe a large part of this is due to price action. In terms of self-assessment, my current trading skills and techniques are not enough to make me an independent trader. Therefore, I’ll continue to refine my study of price action and hope to become a professional trader. Given the current strong market, I’m trading while learning. If I had a more professional mentor, I believe I could do even better. That’s why I’m writing this post—to find a trading mentor for my account to work alongside me. Of course, Al Brooks will always be my theoretical mentor. If you’re interested and share the same goals, let’s talk in detail.
