Hi, is there any differences between Head and Shoulder patter and Cup and Handle patterns? or are they the exactly the same pattern(which is the MTR pattern), but just different name?
When you compare both patterns, the cup is the head and the handle the shoulder, so the difference is that one shoulder is lacking in the cup and handle compared with the Head and Shoulders (H&S) pattern. Although you can see them both as kind of MTRs, cup and handles up and down moves are usually stronger than in H&S pattern so the overall shape is clearly different and, therefore, they deserve a different name.
