In the forex trading the open video, Al talks about how the open of the session is not exact and its a behavior. That behavior is a strong breakout in either direction and he says that the market opens from that breakout
He says "they look for big bars on the time window" what is that time window? is the time window 1 hour before and after or 2 hour before and after the official open of S&P 500? Like If S&P 500 opens on 8:00PM IST, should I expect the open of the U.S market in XAUUSD from 7:00PM IST (1hr before) or 6:00PM IST (2hr before)
Because of the daylight saving time shift I can't find the exact time window that he speaks of? because of this confusion I'm counting the first 18 bar BO wrong and the rest of the session timing goes wrong.
Right now I consider a BO before 1hr of the official open of S&P500 to be the open of U.S session in XAUUSD and any other 23hr markets.
I came to that conclusion from Chatgpt but it's not giving any proper evidence for starting 1hr before the official open, It claims that most institutions start building positions 30-60min before the official open but no evidence for it.
