Trying to keep track intraday, but is it confusing me too? or, was today just a damn difficult trading day. Gotta say I suck at TRanges. Not good with Limit orders...

I thought this day was educational (in a sordid sort of way) about what to look for in trading ranges.

Everything strong that either side did was faded just when it got good (red arrows) and the trading range kept growing. I almost sold 75 but it was already too low to sell with stops since middle of TR (yellow box), 50% PB of bull move, and also probably just a retest of bear TL from above (blue). Also at 15M and 5M EMAs so not much potential for a sell and no good signal for a buy (with stops) and Al advises not to trade with limits near EOD so I skipped it.Â
If an intraday 5min swing trader assumes that, over time, 2 in 5 days are difficult, 1 in 5 days is fair, and 2 in 5 days are good (or v good), the difficult days are far less painful. 😀
Yeah, I had to leave as you can see by the snippet. Missed the rest of the day, but I am ok with that. Went bouldering at the gym and mind was all good after that... 😊 Thanks for the reply.
