Hi All,
Online videos streaming problem earlier today (about 3 hours) should be over now. Caused by a major networking breakdown on the Amazon Web Services platform. Has affected many websites and services across the globe, and there may well be (fake?) news out there about it!
Here is a USA Today story (more stories out there): Massive Amazon cloud service outage disrupts sites
Sorry for trouble. Below is the initial and latest messages from our video hosting provider:
Tuesday 14:04 EST: Amazon Web Services is currently experiencing what appears to be a large-scale networking issue that has impacted our platform. We are waiting on Amazon for updates on their mitigation timeline. We will keep you posted as soon as we have more information.
Tuesday 17:07 EST: All services are operating normally again. Here is the latest update from Amazon: “As of 17:11 EST, we are fully recovered for operations for adding new objects in S3, which was our last operation showing a high error rate. The Amazon S3 service is operating normally.”
Back to normal for last 6 hours or more, and going forward. Amazon is a major Internet platform that supports a massive amount of web traffic.
