Futures and forex trading contains substantial risk and is not for every investor. An investor could potentially lose all or more than the initial investment. Risk capital is money that can be lost without jeopardizing ones’ financial security or life style. Only risk capital should be used for trading and only those with sufficient risk capital should consider trading. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results.
The trading room is for educational purposes only and opinions expressed are those of the presenter only. All trades presented should be considered hypothetical and should not be expected to be replicated in a live trading account.
Hypothetical performance results have many inherent limitations, some of which are described below. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown; in fact, there are frequently sharp differences between hypothetical performance results and the actual results subsequently achieved by any particular trading program.
One of the limitations of hypothetical performance results is that they are generally prepared with the benefit of hindsight. In addition, hypothetical trading does not involve financial risk, and no hypothetical trading record can completely account for the impact of financial risk of actual trading. For example, the ability to withstand losses or to adhere to a particular trading program in spite of trading losses are material points which can also adversely affect actual trading results. There are numerous other factors related to the markets in general or to the implementation of any specific trading program which cannot be fully accounted for in the preparation of hypothetical performance results and all which can adversely affect trading results.

You are the honest Person i ever see in this trading World!!!
Very informative. A couple of years ago much of the chart discussion part of it would have gone over my head and frustrated me – but it seems my knowledge of Al’s method and terminology has increased to the point that I can now keep up with him.
Thank you for putting that on, as always, it was beneficial for me to hear more about price action from you live.
Personally, I don’t think Carl did a good job of interviewing Al. Carl didn’t seem to be familiar, at all, with price action. That being said, thank you so much Al!
Daniel, not sure if you’ve seen it, but in my opinion the best person to interview Al so far has been Etienne from desire to trade
Desire to Trade: The Best Price Action Trader in the World
I thought it was a good interview. Mr. Burgette, despite his lack of familiarity with price action, asked Dr. Brooks good questions and allowed him to hash out his thoughts without interruption. For instance, I liked that they spent a pretty good chunk of time talking about disappointing follow through and potential reasons to get out of a trade.
I have listened to both of Etienne’s interviews of Dr. Brooks multiple times and I do agree that those are great as well. As is the interview by Felippe Aranha. I always pick up something valuable when listening to Dr. Brooks’ interviews. I think the fact that the format is a bit less formal and more conversational than his textbooks and lectures makes listening to the interviews an enjoyable change of pace.
As a side note, it really is awesome that Dr. Brooks continues to contribute so much of his time to teaching people how to trade. He mentioned in the interview that he feels like he’s doing something nice and helping people and he’s definitely correct about that.
