He is referring to the context of chart. What is the price action doing. "Look left to go right". Clues come in different forms: BO Bars, Follow Through, Wedges/Triangles, Higher Highs, etc.
In this particular slide, towards the end of the day, looks like wedge bottom (3 pushes down) begins a tight trading range that slowly turns into a channel, with higher highs and higher lows leading to a possible major trend reversal.
