I've started working out again and noticed significant improvements on my body and my mind. It feels good to be feeling tired again. I am much more focused when i study now and plus i sleep a lot easier. Do you workout at all? When it comes to diet i don't do anything crazy. I just stay away from fried foods, and keep the amount of food i consume reasonable. I've heard some traders caring about their blood sugar, and they're very careful not to spike it while their trading because it can lead to irrational decisions. Is that true?
Do you care about all this or do you keep a more simple approach?
Strength training is a must. Your shoulders will become rounded, and your glutes will become atrophied and flat from trading if you don't counteract being in a sitting position for extended periods of time. Fried foods aren't bad for you if you can construct your diet in a way that you don't put on excess body fat. Too much body fat is inflammatory for your body; it's not the sugar or fried foods. What the point in being an awesome trader if you are just going to let your body go to the point can't use your body to enjoy life outside of trading? That's how I see it.
Hey Nikolas, I also feel better when working out makes you sleep better and wake up fresh for a trading day. I have no idea about blood sugar level but I personally think keeping good health i.e. sleep well, eat proper would help with trading.
I'm still at the beginning of the course and therefore have little trading experience, but in my opinion, the mind and body work in harmony. Imagine a person who eats fast food all the time, lies around at home, and is overweight, versus a person who eats healthy food in a disciplined manner and exercises regularly.
