Hey guys,
I've been wondering for years now what are realistic and achievable performance statistics in terms of Win rate, Average Risk/Reward.
And with that, what are normal drawdown periods in number of trades?
I understand that win rate and risk/reward have an inverse relationship, and that a high win rate system will have shorter drawdowns in number of trades than a low win rate system.
But I feel like it's important to know these stats to set realistic expectations on our system and not get frustrated to quickly when going through a inevitable probabilistic drawdown.
I have a baseball background and I always knew the statistics of the pro players as obviously they're public and that helped me know what to aim for and what was possible, and I would love to know what are realistic statistics of pro traders so that I know what to aim for.
Does anyone know what type of performance pro traders achieve?
