I am trying to watch the course while I am trading at the same time.
Is this even possible or is it to much of a distraction? When you are trading are you only doing this one thing or do you also look at other things like e-mails at the same time ?
I suggest dont do that because you are trading a different setup and learning a different one. However, if there is a particular concept that you would like to review that could be done. Such as identifying demand zones, supply zone, or TR. You can quickly glance at that and try to estimate, But back and forth between trading and course is not possible in my opinion.
Learn by doing....and focus?

I feel like the more price action knowledge you learn the more you actually have to be focused because there are endless nuances in trading. In the heat of the moment trading its so easy to draw a blank and not be able to find that info in your head. Even when i'm as focused as i can be it's still a lot of information to try and remember and process and work through so i would say stay as entirely focused on the chart as you can be. If you're not, someone else is going to take your money from you.
stay focused on the chart 100% of the time if you can. Don't be doing other things, thinking other things, thinking about past trades, losses, misses, mistakes, wins, or projecting into the future. To do well at trading on the 5 min chart you must master (a) reading price action (b) staying focused (c) patience and waiting for the best setups (d) avoiding fake outs - getting sucked into bad trades due to emotions and nonobjectivity (e) not getting emotional ever after a loss, miss, mistake, or win (g) managing trades well.
12 years in here and I agree with what the others have said. Focus on the chart when trading and watch the videos at other times of the day. If you try to focus on trading while listening / watching the course you're gonna be half focused on both and you can't compete and win like that especially when you are newer.
