FAQ update March 6, 2018
Course complete!

All videos for the Brooks Trading Course and Brooks Forex Trading Course are now complete.
As advised last month, there are seven brand new videos to extend the courses, along with various updates and audio/text error fixes. Al is also reviewing all videos and adding/modifying content if needed. All of this work will follow at a less urgent pace, with all change details recorded in the Change log.
Thanks to all for your patience. This project turned into quite a monster in size and breadth, and far beyond what Al had originally planned as an ‘update’. In my humble view (BTC Admin), it is thanks to Al that we all now have a complete Day Trading Expert System online here. I doubt anything comparable, or even close, will ever be created in our lifetime.
Wishing you all good trading.
FAQ update February 6, 2018
Course progress

A new system will be progressively installed, starting this week, for members to track course videos they have watched.
A simple ‘Mark as complete’ button will be placed on each video page, with an overall progress bar for each part of course (PA Fundamentals, How to Trade PA, and How to Trade Forex PA). A suitable easy-reference listing of all courses completed will then follow.
Existing members will need to navigate to pages viewed to mark complete if wanting to use system and get an accurate record.
Course videos
Production is entering the last leg and all online videos should be completed before end of next month. On completion of course videos there are a number of new videos to add, along with numerous updates and fixes. Please see the Change log for details.
Website membership system
The new membership system is operating fine, and the associated login/logout process is much improved with reliable password changes.
The Switch to Forex facility ended as planned last month, and the BTC Combo Upgrade option will continue to be available as noted earlier.
FAQ update January 12, 2018
Website membership system

As conveyed to all mailing list subscribers, the new website membership system has been fully operational for the last 2 days. A new pricing table with 3 options for non-members is now live, for purchase of either of the following:

- Price Action Fundamentals
- How to Trade Price Action
- How to Trade Forex Price Action
- All value-added benefits
- Brooks Trading Course (for multi-market traders):
- Price Action Fundamentals

- How to Trade Forex Price Action
- All value-added benefits
For BTC Main members (all members to date) a temporary BTC Main to Forex Switch page under the Members Area menu is available for members who prefer to access the How to Trade Forex Price Action. As advised earlier, this switch is available until Wednesday Jan 24th, and is a one-way operation available to BTC Main members only.
For BTC Main and BTC Forex members, a new “BTC Combo Upgrade” page under the Members Area menu gives access to all course videos (Combo version) for a low payment of $99. This upgrade is not time limited, but price may rise on completion of all online course videos (Al reviewing).
For all non-Combo members, open access to all How to Trade videos will cease soon after publishing of this update FAQ. BTC Main members will not be able to access Forex videos, and BTC Forex members will not be able to access Main videos.
The previously reported 30-day restriction on viewing How to Trade videos for new members has been cancelled. All new members get immediate access to all videos they have signed up to.
How to Trade video productions will resume later today with planned completion of all course videos early March.
FAQ update December 31, 2017
Website upgrade

Original plan for migration to new system went out the window after a serious bug emerged in chosen software package. Worse still, new bugs appeared after waiting on several software updates! We have now dropped original software and setting up with an alternative. So far so good!
Current plan is to move to new system within 7-10 days! As noted in earlier update, migration will result in the following:
- A pricing table for non-members offering purchase of each course version, or both. See draft table below for information.
- Current members will be migrated to the main BTC All Instruments version.
- Current members will be given access to a temporary page to allow switching to BTC Forex version if preferred. This option will be available for 2 weeks. An email reminder will be sent to all subscribers on mailing lists.
- Current members will have option to upgrade to the BTC Combo version for $99 as promised.
- A 30-day delay on access to the How to Trade parts will take effect from date of original purchase. Current members who bought 30 or more days earlier should see no restriction, but contact us if any problems.
- Plan to migrate without taking site offline. However, if really needed, site may be inaccessible for a short period to achieve changeover.
A new accordion design for video index pages has been implemented to save screen real estate, making it much easier to browse videos. As noted on each page, simply click on section title to open and close each table. Opening a second table will close the first. This system makes browsing contents much more friendly, especially for small screens.
New course videos delivery
Completion of remaining How to Trade videos should be before end February 2018. As soon as website migration work is done, video production pace will ramp up. See the Change Log for up to date information on both new videos and updates/fixes.
New pricing table — Draft for info

Wishing you all good trading, and a Happy, Prosperous New Year.
FAQ update August 2, 2017
BTC translations survey

A translation project survey has been put up to assess demand for different language translations of the Brooks Trading Course. Translations could be either subtitles only, or subtitles plus slide text.
As noted on survey page, translation of audio soundtracks is not feasible given the number of videos, and complexity of synchronizing Al’s narration.
A sample subtitled video is available, as English subtitles could also be used in future on the English course version if deemed valuable.
We are keen to know how subtitles work for everyone – whether non-native or native English speaking traders and look forward to your help and feedback.
Note: The survey has now been closed (10 October). Results to follow later.
FAQ update July 20, 2017
New course videos delivery

All Price Action Fundamentals videos, 118 in total, were completed by End May.
To date, another 30+ How to Trade Price Action Main and Forex version videos have been produced and put online. With about 80 How to Trade videos in total, we expect full completion of all course videos within the next 2 months or so.
Website upgrade
To facilitate choice of How to Trade Main or Forex versions, the website software upgrade is under way now. Notice of changeover will be given via a brief FAQ update and mailing list, before end of month if all goes well.
We are alternating between video production and website work, to ensure new course videos appear once every 2 days or so, until new membership system live.
Accessing How to Trade course parts
On completion of system upgrade, you will find a new Member profile page giving your membership level. Initially, all members will be assigned a base level with access to Price Action Fundamentals only.
To choose your preferred How to Trade part, simply go to new profile page and select either the Main or Forex part, at no extra cost. If you want to purchase access to both courses, an option will be presented for a charge of US$99 as advised.
New member’s restriction
When new system available, new members will not get access to How to Trade videos until after the 30-day refund period has passed. This will take effect automatically, and selection of preferred part can be made anytime.
This feature is to help fight Internet pirates whose only goal is to steal course content. We ask for new members’ understanding and acceptance of this delay control.
FAQ update May 15, 2017
New course videos delivery

All Price Action Fundamentals (PAF) videos, 118 in total, will be completed within the next 7-10 days. A number of the earlier PAF videos will then be edited to fix various text and audio errors, before continuing with production of How to Trade Price Action (HTTPA) Main and Forex version videos.
Website upgrade
To facilitate Members choice of the HTTPA Main or Forex versions, a significant upgrade to the website software is required. This will be done in parallel with initial HTTPA video productions in June.
Al will be lecturing in China for the first 2 weeks of June, so planning to complete some PAF video updates, and website upgrade planning/research work, before Al’s return to normal work in Mid June.
Accessing both How to Trade course parts
As discussed earlier, a small charge will be made for members wanting access to both the Main and Forex course parts. Al has fixed this price at US$99, which should be fair enough to satisfy those interested.
Members’ survey
Following our earlier survey on your experience with new course, some follow up surveys have been created to gather your valuable feedback. Editing of videos has continued with much the same allowances (pauses) between slides/text to allow traders to read and absorb information before Al continues talking. Sometimes no need to pause, so a difficult balance at times.
Looking forward to your feedback. The survey will be up for a month or more, so feel free to add your own ideas and comments below the survey questions.
FAQ update February 2, 2017
New course videos delivery
Over 40 brand new course videos released to date, with more than 100 to follow.
Possibly several more months to complete all, given the video and audio editing time required for optimum quality.
Video access is now through a dedicated Price Action Fundamentals page. Comments on original samples page have been moved to new Trading course reviews and feedback page. In addition, comments have been opened up on all course video individual pages for more targeted specific queries and comments.
The main Price Action Fundamentals video page will be modified in the near future to give section headers for groups of videos. This will organize videos, and condense page length. An update to current videos listing will be issued soon.
The How to Trade Price Action and How to Trade Forex Price Action videos will follow on completion of the current Price Action Fundamentals videos. At this point, all members will be invited to select the course of their choice. An option to access all videos will also be made at the same time for those who have asked. Cost for this option not yet fixed and will be advised later.
Finally, for remaining video sets, a review and prelim edit of all videos in a set (eg 14A-14E) is needed before issue of first video of set. This is to faciliate modification of content to save work (and time). For example, although an upcoming set may have 2 videos planned, an editing review may need set splitting into 3 or more videos to keep individual video viewing times down. This process will sometimes give a few days without a new video appearing, then an accelerated delivery of the full set as soon as final editing under way.
FAQ update November 29, 2016
Al talks about new course parts (Video 1min 50sec)
New course videos, fully narrated, are being added to the samples page.
Apologies for delay, but final video productions needed to wait on Al’s new photo, which does look good, so worth the wait!
Check the BTC Samples Update Videos page for these videos as they arrive. Will send a mailing list message when first batch of Price Action Fundamentals videos have been completed. You will see these appear as they are ready.
The slide image shown here presents the new Brooks Trading Course organization. We will have a Price Action Fundamentals course common to both the Main and Forex courses. The Main course, How to Trade Price Action covers all markets as discussed earlier. The Forex course, How to Trade Forex Price Action will have its own exclusively Forex charts and soundtrack. More details on exact differences between these courses will be given in good time.
All members will have access to new Price Action Fundamentals videos as they are released. When we are ready to release the How to Trade videos, existing members will be able to choose which version they prefer. Or you can choose both for an extra payment that will not break the bank.
Wishing you all good trading
PS. We are still getting messages about current course buyers getting access to new course. Without resorting to old-school blinking text to reinforce point, here again is our true and fixed offer:
ALL BUYERS of the Brooks Trading Course (from 2012 release onwards!) get access to new course of their choice (Main or Forex) AT NO EXTRA CHARGE.
FAQ update November 22, 2016
Audio recording for videos 1 through 10, plus the online samples (total of 15) has now been completed.
Audio and video editing, for production of both course versions, is now in progress. Planning to release this first batch before end of month. Earlier suggestion of delivering fully narrated samples, by now, fell through due to waiting on delayed course images, and extensive software recording tests.
The early-bird pricing for course ends November 30th as announced earlier, and new price will be $349 from December 1. This pricing is an intermediate price and a final price will be decided later when both new courses (Main and Forex) are fully completed.
Again: ALL BUYERS of current course (from 2012 release onwards!) will get access to new course of their choice (Main or Forex) AT NO EXTRA CHARGE.
Many traders are asking for access to both the new Main and Forex courses. A price for adding a second course has not yet been decided. Before the time comes for such a decision, more information on the differences between courses will be given. But basically, if you trade more than one market, the Main course is all you need.
If you are a 100% Forex-only trader, the Forex course would be more suitable. Many of the generic charts are not Forex. However, 100% of the How to Trade trading examples are Forex charts with Forex narration. The Price Action Fundamentals course component will be the same material and soundtrack for both courses.
New course currently stands at about 3,800 slides with a projected duration of 100 or more hours. There will be more than 150 videos, as duration of each is being kept to 30-45 minutes where possible for easier learning.
FAQ update November 1, 2016
Audio recording of final PPT videos will start this month as mentioned earlier.
Two more fully animated PPTS, without audio have been added to the preview area. These PPTS are on (1) Pullbacks and bar counting, and (2) Scalping
Again, access to videos is via this BTC sample videos link (now replaced with full recorded videos).
Note: Early-bird price for course ends November 30. Price to be announced later this month.
Reminder: ALL BUYERS of current course (from 2012 onwards!) will get access to new course of their choice (Core or Forex) AT NO EXTRA CHARGE.
FAQ update October 9, 2016
Al is eager to complete the new course update, but it has been a much bigger project than anticipated. Edits are complete on well over 90% of the PowerPoints, and Al should finish the remainder by the end of October. Audio recording should start within this/next month.
Richard has automated 4 of the PowerPoints so that you can see what the final course will look like. Two are from the main Price Action Trading Course, and two from the Forex course. If Richard has time, he might create and release additional automated PowerPoints while Al completes all the audio, which could take several months. As noted earlier we will release final videos in batches to get the updates to you all as soon as practical.
Access to samples is restricted to members only, as they are valuable assets even without audio. Members will need to be logged in to view.

FAQ update September 6, 2016
Getting lots of queries about when new course will be ready. Still looking to release in stages, with first batch in the next 2 months. I know we keep saying another 2 months but Al is still working very hard adding new stuff and ensuring consistency across all videos. Into final 10 PowerPoint modules, so close. Audio and video recording will follow soon.
The update extends current course with multiple modules for most videos, plus new chapters on trading examples. There will be over 3,400 slides compared to existing course 2,700. Much of existing course is text based, while new course is predominantly charts. Some videos will be near 100% charts! A major enhancement for learning as you can see from samples.
The Options Trading course component has been dropped, as this is not strictly a price action topic. It will come later as a separate product after main course done — and after Al has taken a break (hopefully!). The Best Trades module has also been dropped from main course, but will be made available separately on another website at low cost with a discount for Members. The Best Trades video is being used for foreign language pilots (currently French, German, Portuguese (Brazil), and Spanish) with main translation work waiting on completion of main course.
Here’s a list of new course contents for your reference. This applies to both Emini and Forex versions at present but there may be minor adjustments made later:

FAQ update June 20, 2016
Al answered a course update query in his trading room last week. Here is the audio extract:
Q: Do you have an update on the progress of the new course?
Audio duration: 5 min 46 sec
Main points:
- Have 50 video modules, some in 3 or 4 parts, so about 100 separate videos in total
- Trying to keep each video under 40 slides, for 30 minutes playing time
- Now going through every slide to make sure everything perfect – text, arrows, lines, everything
- Have now completed final reviews for about one third of course
- Probably another month or two to complete all, before starting audio recording
- Will then turn recorded Powerpoints into videos.
- Planning to release in logical blocks of about 10 videos
- Complete course release over next 3 to 6 months
- May take up to 6 months to complete all but hard part done and remaining work easier
- Very happy with how it’s turning out – cleaner, effective, easier on the eyes…
- Course is really going to be great
- First group of videos within next month or so
- About 300 hours of editing left to do, another 300 hours of audio recording
- Argument can be made that Al is nuts doing all this work
- Like Muhammad Ali, Al wants to do good and course will help traders for many years to come
- Really want course to look good, be clear, and help traders make money
- Consistency throughout course evolved over time of creation
- After videos done, next project to create full index for course
- Then planning to reorganize and recreate 300 chart examples used in trading room for more effective learning
FAQ update April 2, 2016
Al was asked about the course in one of last month’s trading room sessions. Here is the audio extract answering the following question:
Q: In the new course, do you make video of the trades real time, even in a simulated account, and explain why you are placing the trade? And where your stop is?
Audio duration: 3 min 15 sec
Note: Al has now completed all PowerPoints for the new price action trading course. He will be working on the Options Trading course PPTs over the next 2 weeks, after which a full PPT review of all, followed by audio recording will start. Listen to the latest Ask Al video on Forex trading for more.
FAQ update March 1, 2016
To keep everyone updated on Al’s new Brooks Trading Course production, this FAQ post will give latest status reports as work progresses.
This month, March, Al should complete remaining PowerPoint (PPT) files for all video modules. Quality reviews of all PPTs is ongoing, and we expect to start recording audio narrations next month, April.
Given the demand for release of new course, we will most likely start a staged release of final course videos by end Q2 (June).
There will be TWO versions of the course: one using ES Emini and other market instrument charts, and a Forex version using 100% Forex charts. The price action fundamentals and How to Trade course content will be essentially the same for both courses. The Forex course is being created for those who prefer to trade Forex only.
ALL existing and future course buyers (Members) will be entitled to access new course at no extra charge. To help combat the rampant piracy on the Internet, the new course will be delivered online. Download files for current course will cease when new course is fully online. Members are asked to keep a secure backup.
Some members have expressed a desire to access both courses. This is being seriously considered and will require a small extra payment to help offset production and delivery costs.
Pricing for new course will be rising in stages, starting later this month. Adequate notice will be given to all non-Member mailing list subscribers for anyone wanting to buy at the lowest cost. Price for new course, when fully available, will be announced in good time. Repeat: ALL existing members (buyers) get access to new course at no extra charge.
