Al keeps saying through the course that a good MTR setup has 40% of a swing, that is 40% of a reward 2x the risk.
Is that 2x actual risk or initial risk ?
Because he isn’t super consistent on which one he uses, often he just says and writes 2x risk.
I tested a system based entirely on MTRs and I tried to make it as close as possible to Al’s instructions.
I testing what probabilities show if I just put a take profit a 2x initial risk.
Over 3 years and about 900 trades, I get 34% win rate, which is just BE with this RR profile.
Did anyone understand better what he means by 40% chance of a reward 2x the risk ?
It could be that in some cases my 2x target is unreasonably far, but aren’t we supposed to get a large swing about 40% of the time ?
