I purchased the training course (great so far) although when watching videos sometimes the red circle pointer (mouse pointer) Al uses is not showing. For example, when he uses it to show and talk about previous bars it's there, but when the pointer moves to the right and he says "buy here" it disappears. Wondering if others have experienced this or if it may be something specific to my computer/browser? I can provide some examples of videos/timeframe it happens. So far on the fundamental videos it has happened about a dozen or so times.
Ok... now that I watched a few more videos it is becoming a learning issue. I hope it is my computer/browser or doesn't happen on all videos. Any help?
I've found the pointer a bit confusing as well. I see it but it's not totally synced with the words. It seems to lag sometimes.
However, my strategy has been to keep moving forward and over time there's so much repetition in these lectures that you start anticipating what he's saying. At first you think that there's so much information being fired at you but you realise that at least half of the content is repetition of previous points and by the time I finished the fundamentals course I feel I'm getting most of Al's logic.
He has a particular way of thinking about charts and trading that I don't see elsewhere and now when I listen to people on YT etc. talking about charts I'm finding that I'm doing an Al take on it that's different from what the person is saying.
In the trading part of the course I'm finding that things are further reinforced but with more specific information added. I generally find that if some video or point isn't making sense I just keep going, it will make more sense later, or get back to it the next day.
Probably important to just keep going because there's so many videos that I feel I'm better off just moving on instead of dwelling on it. For each of the topics in the fundamentals part he goes over the same things in the trading part.
So my impression is that the amount of content is more a function of the need to repeat and consolidate rather than that there's such a huge amount of information and if you don't get a particular point you'll never get back to it.
If you don't get the point this time, it will probably come up in a later video and you'll eventually get it if you're of average intelligence and pay attention. Now I spend more time reading the labels to get the specific point he's making than what he's pointing at.
Tom - thank you for proving insight. It is reassuring there will be additional coverage on topics later in the course allowing it sink in. Sometimes I don’t want to move on until I feel comfortable I clearly understood everything in a given video, but based on what you said it likely makes sense just to keep moving forward and things will come together through some repetition (In this case I feel some repetition will be a good thing). Thx again.
You're welcome Eric. Also, I don't know about other people, but I find the Normal speed of these videos to be a great sedative and 1.25 more natural speaking speed. Ample use of the speed function and re-watching sections that I might've missed saves me endless cups of coffee.
