I feel these types of gap days have been messing us up lately. Because the open is strong in one direction and then it grinds in the opposite direction for rest of day. Traders are expecting TRD but it doesn't sell off the HOD. Also looks like if the opening range is too big vs ATR or takes too many bars to form, the trend later isn't likely to go above/below HOD/LOD by much. But if the reversal comes early then range could double or triple. If someone has more stats on such days please mention.
