Hi everyone,
I’ve been sketching charts using the Daily Setups section and the current-month encyclopedia charts, and it’s been really helpful. The current-month charts include dates, which makes it easy to print a blank chart, annotate it, and then compare. The encyclopedia charts, however, don’t show dates, so that exercise isn’t possible there.
Would it be possible to add dates (starting from now on) to the encyclopedia charts/slides? That way we could print a blank chart for that day and mark/compare our notes against it.
Just a suggestion—thanks for considering!
Hi Rob, you can type / in the search bar. All slides will then appear as dates
Hi Roberto,
Thanks for your suggestion and happy to hear you are getting value from these charts.
Al removes both date/time and pricing from these charts for good reason. Al does not want to encourage anyone to think the patterns apply to only that day/instrument/whatever. The patterns are universal so you should study them for any market you wish to trade.
So no chance of adding dates. You could analyze any Emini day and work out what key patterns you identify. Then search the appropriate part for charts to see if they pop up. Search using the 25/8/12 format for yesterday, for example. Keep in mind that this month's slides do not get added to Encyclopedia until month end, which is why we have the current slides available.
Hi Richard, I believe you or someone on your team had stated that the markings on the charts do sometimes consider information not shown on the chart, such as prior days, overnight session, and HTF charts. How are we to review the context that the chart appears in without the date?
Or is it possible that the markings do actually standalone based solely on the information shown on the chart?
Hi Daniel, The location of the slide in Encyclopedia will often give you context through its section name, slide title, and through text on slide too of course. Most will be standalone as you say.
Thank you Daniel, I understand. It is true, recent days are fresher in our memories so it makes the exercise more memorable.
