I am writing to seek some clarification regarding my study of Price Action.
I have noticed that my chart markups (trend lines, channels, wedges, etc.) sometimes differ from Al’s published charts.
I’ve observed two outcomes when this happens:
- Sometimes, despite the markup difference, my entry signals align perfectly with Al’s.
- Other times, my different markup leads me to take an entry that would be considered incorrect based on Al’s analysis.
My question is: Is it strictly necessary for my chart geometry to be 100% identical to Al Brooks' charts to be profitable?
I am trying to understand if there is room for subjective interpretation in drawing market structures, or if the fact that my markups differ implies a fundamental misunderstanding of the methodology that I need to correct immediately.
Any insights you could provide on how much variance is acceptable would be greatly appreciated.
