I made this tradingview indicator for buy and sell signals.
It is configurable to your preferred definition of 'H' 'L'.

You can also set the required strength: example a strength of 0.15 would mean the bar has to close within 15% of its high or low. A strength of 0.0 would mean the close had to be exactly the high or low.

It will also detect micro double top, micro double bottom, or OutSide Outside bars. I will add more detection in the future.

You can optionally define a H type as a bar that closes above the high of the prior bar.
Or you can define it so that the close only needs to close over the close of the prior bar.

You can also define how many opposing bars before the H or L signal we want to see to consider it a valid setup.

You can define how far back we should check for opposing bars.(this helps reduce or increase the number of signals)

Everybody's definition will vary slightly and in my opinion should be tuned to the market volatility at the time of trading.

You can also set alerts based on the signals, which allows you to be aware of price action on more time frames and symbols without actually watching 24/7. If setting alerts, set them to trigger once on the bar close.

All signals detected can be used for alerts and strategy backtesting as the script outputs the various signals.
